May Update

Finally got around to fitting the Rex Marsee tank bag to the R today. As expected it fitted in 5 minutes without any problems. The power pick up was wired directly into the battery and will charge my GPS and phone whilst out and about. Took the R for a quick blast down the back roads and can confirm that the bag is rock solid upto the legal limit
I’m off with my brother to the Touratech offices in June for an evening with Ted Simon. Ted was the geeza that went around the world on a Triumph back in the 1970’s. He did it again a few years back and wrote two books about the experience. It’s gonna be great being able to meet and chat with such a well known traveller.
The R is cruising so well at the moment. I took it on a 300 mile day out last weekend down to the south coast. It was so good. The wind protection allows for some serious mileage to be done without any discomfort. Tank range is a good 170 on a long trip. Not bad for a fast bike I reckon.
Buell UK have sent out a recall notice for the front brake line. Some models have started to chaff the brake line on the front wheel or mudguard. My line has made contact with the mudguard in the past. It’s a quick fix though. Buell UK are replacing the fixing bracket on the front fork.
Anyway, in two weeks time I’ll have a load of photos and waffle about my road trip to South Wales. Looking foward to it… 500 miles over two days….
