Gmail iPhone Push
July 4th, 2009
These are the three magical words that have been buzzing around the internet since the iPhone appeared on the market a few years back and finally as of July 2009 its available curtesy of NuevaSync Inc. This company has been around for a while offering free calendar and contacts sync with Gmail but the long awaited email push feature has been missing from their portfolio… I reckon the majority if the iPhone users community have been screaming for this feature for ages and I can tell you now it works and it works really well. Email delivery is almost instant asuming you have network coverage be that on the mobile network or a wifi network.
I bet they are charging a fortune for this service I hear you shout! No, they only ask you to part with $25 per year and that price comes with human technical support too so you’re not left in the lurch if something were to go wrong…. So what do you need to do to get this push service up and running? Well you need an email account that supports Imap Idle so it can be almost any popular email service provider and a mobile device that supports Exchange Activesync… Now head on over to NuevaSync and sign up…
