Son gets a proper helmet to replace the cheap and crappy starter helmet we got a year ago. This one has bluetooth as well so now we can chat whilst out and about. Click to read more...

Took delivery of a Nolan N-102 with integrated bluetooth today. Good ol’ Mike at Ultimate Bike Gear let me have one of his X Display helmets at a good price… This ones not for me though, its for my Son. His original £40 helmet was a crappy helmet which shook his head to bits when we pushed on a bit. The Nolan is rock solid AND allows us to chat AND listen to music whilst out and about.

The music thing is pretty cool. I plug my mp3 player in to my helmet, switch on my helmet. Said son then switches on his bluetooth helmet and then we can talk to each other whilst having music piped in at the same time. Cool!

Son has said that the helmet is very stable at speed and voice comms are perfectly usable up to the legal UK speed limit.

I’ll report back soon with some pictures and a better report on how he’s finding the Nolan. Thanks go out as always to Mike at UBG for supplying the helmet and bluetooth kit.
