Disc sorted along with a few other things...

Blackbear waved their magic hands over my 1125r on Friday as promised and made the bike available for collection yesterday. Heres the list from my previous post:-

Replace front brake disc coz the original one with 4006 miles on it has warped. Replaced disc. Job done

Check & replace the water pump gasket. It’s been weeping in the past. This was due to a lose bolt. Gasket no longer leaking so no fault found.

Stop rear brake squeal when cold. A smear of copper slip will do the job. There was a small spring broken inside the calliper. This was replaced along with the pads coz they had worn due to the extra dragging.

Investigate rough running at low RPM. This is nothing serious but the engine has been a bit lumpier since the 05Z firmware was flashed to the ECM. Reflashed the 05Z firmware. Appears to be smoother. Time will tell.

The front Brake line recall is still outstanding 3 months on. This is due to parts not being made available by Buell. Nothing to do with Blackbear but it is annoying… As a stop gap Blackbear have shielded the brake line. Still waiting on parts.

So all in all, a pretty good turn around. My only complaint is that the bike came back dirtier than it was when I had it collected. Looks like it had been sitting outside and collected spray from another bike clean nearby. Only picking at hairs if you know what I mean. Really pleased with the really quick turn around by the team at Blackbear. I have total confidence in their service team and I reckon thats a hard thing to come by these days…
